Whistler BC Canada

Whistler has about 10,000 full-time residents, and sees over 2 million visitors annually.

Whistler was named after the call of the indigenous hoary marmot (a whistling rodent)

Whistler's a little mountain paradise with lots to offer: the most ride-able area in North America (8,000+ acres), the longest ski season in Canada, the sickest vertical drop on the continent, over 200 marked trails, 16 alpine bowls, three glaciers and two mountains to choose from. There are events galore, backcountry to blow your mind, and probably the most talented people you'll come across all in one little Village.

We want this place to stay for a long time, the way it is. Respect the hard work we've put into protecting our natural spaces, our bears, and our community spirit!

So get out there and experience as much of it as you can while you're here. International DJs, sick powder, incredible people, and backcountry like heaven's just 30 minutes away. Balance that with good food. Volunteer. Meet your neighbours. Take a yoga class. Recycle. Stay POSITIVE. And make time for just chillin.

Accommodation is hard to find, so prevent unnecessary stress by coming to town early - (July is a great time to get settled) MORE>

Find work! But don't live to work. Cost of living is high in Whistler so come with a couple thousand dollars to set up and survive the void before your first paycheque. Set up a budget (banks will help with this) and don't spend all your money in the bars. Check out WERC, our local job centre. It just might be your 2nd home when you first get here. MORE>
